ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers through Developer mode → Connectors, authorized over OAuth. There’s no field to enter a static bearer token — sign-in happens in the browser.
1

Enable Developer mode

In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode and turn it on.
2

Add Poix as a connector

Under Connectors, add a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.poix.io.
3

Sign in and approve

ChatGPT opens https://app.poix.io in your browser. Sign in with Google or GitHub, then approve the consent screen. If you don’t already have a Poix account, signing in creates one automatically, and ChatGPT receives its token without any further steps.
A new account starts with no balance, and Poix needs credits for the connection itself, not just for tool calls. Add credits at app.poix.io/settings/billing right after signing in, before doing anything else here.
4

Verify the connection

Back in ChatGPT, the Poix connector should show as connected with tools listed. If it won’t connect or lists no tools, the most likely cause on a new account is missing credits, not a broken sign-in — check app.poix.io/settings/billing.
See Authentication for how OAuth sign-in works and how to manage or revoke connected apps under Connected apps.
