Gemini’s MCP-compatible tools (such as the Gemini CLI) support remote Streamable HTTP MCP servers configured by URL.
1

Get a Poix Token

If you don’t already have one, create a poix- Token in the Dashboard. See Authentication for details.
2

Open your MCP settings

Locate (or create) the MCP server configuration file your Gemini client reads (for the Gemini CLI, ~/.gemini/settings.json).
3

Add Poix as a generic Streamable HTTP server

Replace poix-… with your actual Token. If your client’s config uses a different key name for the endpoint URL (for example url instead of httpUrl), use whichever key your client’s MCP schema expects — the endpoint and header are the same either way.
4

Verify the connection

Restart your Gemini client and check its MCP/tools panel — poix should appear with its tools listed. You can now ask Gemini to search YouTube, pull video or channel details, or fetch captions directly.
