Hermes supports adding remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP by URL, with a custom Authorization header. Exact config-key names vary by Hermes version, so treat the field names below as a guide rather than a literal schema — check your version’s MCP settings UI or docs for the precise keys.
1

Get a Poix Token

If you don’t already have one, create a poix- Token in the Dashboard. See Authentication for details.
2

Open your MCP server settings

In Hermes, go to the MCP servers section of settings and choose to add a new remote server.
3

Add the Poix server

Enter https://mcp.poix.io as the server URL, and add an HTTP header:
Replace poix-… with your actual Token.
4

If your version only supports local server commands

If your Hermes version doesn’t support remote HTTP servers directly, it can bridge to Poix’s remote server using mcp-remote:
mcp-config.json
5

Verify the connection

Save and reconnect — poix should show as connected with its tools listed. You can now ask Hermes to search YouTube, pull video or channel details, or fetch captions directly.
